Introduction
The M.Sc. Economics program is tailored for students aspiring to build a successful career in economics. This program provides a comprehensive understanding of economic theories, practical applications, and research methodologies, preparing students to excel professionally. Alongside coursework, students will undertake a project to practically apply their acquired knowledge and skills.

Admission Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must hold a 14-year Bachelor’s degree (BA, BSc, BCom, or equivalent) with a minimum of 45% marks or a CGPA of 2.0 out of 4.
Note:
- Applicants with less than 45% marks can qualify for admission after completing the "Zero Semester."
- Virtual University graduates with a 2-year degree are eligible only to continue in their respective 4-year BS programs.

Course exemptions are not permitted.
Program Duration
The M.Sc. Economics program spans two years, divided into four semesters. Each semester lasts at least 18 weeks.

Assessment of Study Progress
Student progress is evaluated through a variety of assessments, including assignments, quizzes, Graded Discussion Boards (GDBs), mid-term exams, and final-term exams conducted throughout the semester.
Project Requirement
In the final semester, students must complete a 3-credit-hour project. They are encouraged to select a topic of their interest in consultation with their advisor. The project includes submitting a comprehensive write-up and potentially delivering a presentation.
Degree Award Criteria
To qualify for the M.Sc. Economics degree, students must:
- Successfully complete at least 66 credit hours.
- Maintain a minimum Cumulative Grade Point Average (CGPA) of 2.0 out of 4.
